DALLAS (May 27, 2010)--D. Anderson & Company (DAC), a leading patient recruitment and retention provider for global clinical trials, has appointed David Heck as vice president of business development. A seasoned sales manager with a stellar record, Heck brings more than 17 years of revenue-generating experience to the DAC team. In his new role, he is responsible for identifying income opportunities, building strategic partnerships, motivating sales staff, and managing contract negotiations. Heck’s platform includes leveraging new technology to extend DAC’s global reach and influence.
"I’m honored to be part of D. Anderson & Company," he said. "This is an exciting and challenging time, because technology has opened new avenues to educate patients and caregivers about clinical trial opportunities. Globalization adds another dimension that includes understanding international patient populations and country regulations, as well as incorporating national languages into patient recruitment materials. DAC is well-positioned to meet client needs in these areas."
Heck previously served as senior director at CenterWatch in Boston, where he oversaw revenue management for the company’s clinical trials solutions program and worked extensively with biopharmaceutical corporations, contract research organizations and patient recruitment providers. During his tenure he developed the program into a leading revenue generator for the company and substantially increased their client base. His honors include induction into the President’s Club for Thomson Healthcare & Scientific.
"With David’s talent and industry expertise, he is a welcomed addition to our team," said Diana Anderson, Ph.D., DAC president and CEO. "He is a respected industry professional and we look forward to his contributions to our corporate goals."
Heck’s relationship with DAC dates back to 2000, when Dr. Anderson enlisted him as a consultant and contributing writer for her book, "A Guide to Patient Recruitment: Today’s Best Practices and Proven Strategies." The two maintained business ties, which laid the groundwork for Heck’s present appointment as vice president of business development.
"D. Anderson & Company is highly regarded in the industry as an organization that provides quality programs which generate results," he said. "The company has a passion for patient recruitment, which is reflected in both the creative and project management areas."
