The company was founded in 1992 as Rheumatology Research International (RRI), a privately held site management organization serving the rheumatology sector. In response to growing demand for patient recruitment and retention support, the company repositioned itself and re-launched in September 2003 as D.L. Anderson International, Inc. (DLA) with DAC and RRI as subsidiaries. A year later, in August 2004, DLA was certified as a woman-owned business through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Additionally, the company also is certified as a continuing education provider through the California Board of Registered Nursing.
