Freelance Graphic Designer/Production Artist: We are currently seeking a Freelance Production Artist and Graphic Designer to provide as-needed art production and design on various projects. You will assist with layout of materials to include but not be limited to print collateral, brochures, magazines, newsletters, newspaper and magazine ads, and packaging. You will be responsible for pre-flight formatting as well as collecting, processing, checking and uploading files. Additionally, you will correct existing computer files as directed, paste-up and prepare comps for presentation to clients. Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in production and/or graphic design
  • Must be able to work onsite
  • Must be able to handle high volume of work and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Portfolio examples required (online portfolio a plus)

 

Traffic Manager: The Traffic Manager is responsible for trafficking materials externally and internally between departments. He or she serves as the liaison between clients, ad agencies, creative staff and external sources, and provides advice on online specifications. The Traffic Manager efficiently routes various materials and communicates schedule deadlines to internal departments to ensure online advertising is launched on time. As an integral part of the Creative Services team, the Traffic Manager is responsible for supporting the Production. He or she maintains production schedules, deliverables, sign-offs and/or discrepancies and management of special production requests.

Experience, Skills and Talents Required:

  • Experience and ability to manage ongoing and often-different production cycles concurrently
  • Online advertising knowledge
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a production environment (i.e., publishing, ad agency, etc.)

Education and Certifications Required:

  • BA/BS desirable

 

 

Publications Intern/Editorial Assistant: The Publications Intern/Editorial Assistant is responsible for supporting the Creative Services Department by assisting with research, posting intranet and website updates, fact-checking information slated for production, maintaining files, and generating project reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research disease indications and industry statistics for use in articles and journals.
  • Compile list of subject matter experts and interview sources, including their contact information.
  • Confirm the factual accuracy of information submitted by subject matter experts and internal sources for publication.
  • Compile and collate daily correspondence on projects and update print and electronic project files accordingly.
  • Create editorial project folders and ensure that appropriate forms are completed in their entirety and supporting documentation is included.
  • Post press releases, employee profiles and articles of interest on the intranet.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Publications Manager including, but not limited to, filing and generating reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

The ideal candidate must be a college student majoring in journalism or a recent college graduate with a journalism degree. He/she must be able to multitask, prioritize and maintain calm under deadline pressure.
